Touch screen phones become popular

According to the latest research from Strategy Analytics, touch screen phone shipments will reach 90 million units worldwide in 2009, accounting for 7 percent of total volumes. Price and screen size are critical factors for success. Tom Kang, Senior Analyst at Strategy Analytics said, “We forecast 90 million touch screen phones to be sold worldwide in 2009, accounting for 7 percent of total volumes. We expect Nokia and Appleto ramp up shipments next year and start to drive down the price of touch screen handsets toward the mid-range.”
